An advanced 3d model

In this tutorial, you will learn how to start a model, and how to use the basic options to model it. We will model a diesel train.

In the first chapter, we will model the front of the train. This is not the only way of doing it, its just one of the ways of doing it. We will be using 4 points poligons. We are going to try to use a low number of poligons. The final result will depend of the textures.

The first thing before starting with the model, is to look for the easiest areas. In this case, the front is a good place. We are going to model one of the sides of the train, and after that, clone it, like a mirror.

It is important to know how many details we are going to model. In this case; transparent windows? Texture windows? I think it should look much better with transparent windows. Most of the details will be on the texture, but windows can give realism to the model.
