Project 1: The bouncing ball
In this project you will make you first contact with Maya. You will learn about creating simple objects, animating them, assigning materials to them and finally create particle effects to make a more exciting scene. To do this, you will create a bouncing ball.
The project consists of 6 parts:
• An introduction to 3D animation
• Maya Introduction
• Lesson 1
• Lesson 2
• Lesson 3
• Lesson 4
When finished, you will be familiar with the Maya interface and can try building some scenes of you own.

Project 2: The spaceship
In the project you will increase you knowledge of Maya. You will learn about more advanced techniques when making you animation. You will therefore build a spaceship and animate it in three different scenes.
This project is made up of 5 parts:
• Lesson 5
• Lesson 6
• Lesson 7
• Lesson 8
• Lesson 9
When finished you are ready to begin exploring Maya on you own, and start creating terrific animations...
